CoRR Objectives
The CoRR will:
- Provide post-doctoral and graduate education to train individuals who can use basic and applied research in perception and action to solve safety and physical function problems of persons with disabilities.
- Develop and test rehabilitation interventions that are grounded in contemporary theories and empirical findings in perception and action.
- Establish a clearinghouse to evaluate and disseminate existing research.
- Exchange information and insights with clinical and community affiliates
through workshops, lectures to community groups and electronic posting.
- Establish new and strengthen existing relationships with the private sector to translate information into tangible products that enhance the lives of people with movement disorders.
- Identify new areas of basic science research to be conducted in CESPA for which the foundation of basic science does not exist.
- Improve the daily lives of older adults and persons with disabilities through research, training, education, and information dissemination.
