Geraldine Pellecchia
(1956 – 2005)
Dr. Pellecchia graduated from the Physical Therapy program (1978) and received her PhD (1999) from the University of Connecticut . She began her appointment as Associate Professor at UConn in 2003, having roles in both the Physical Therapy Department and the Center for the Ecological Study of Perception and Action. Dr. Pellecchia contributed to the fields of physical therapy and perception and action as an active member in the American Physical Therapy Association, Research Section and a recipient of National Science Foundation funding. Dr. Pellechia was a major contributor to the development of the Collaboratory for Rehabilitation Research (CoRR).
Dr. Pellecchia was a wonderful teacher, mentor, scientist, colleague and friend – She will truly be missed.
